Willkommen zum neuen Innenlagerstandard des EBB Designs von Niner, dem so genannten Niner Bio-Centric EBB.

Die Zeiten der knarzenden Innenlager oder ovalisierten Schalen sind endlich vorbei und die Debatten über das beste System haben ebenfalls ein Ende. Das neue EBB von Niner beseitigt alle Nachteile vorheriger EBB-Systeme mit Hilfe eines äußerst simplen Designs: als zweiteiliges System mit Flanschen, welche die Schalen komplett umschließen gibt es KEINE Möglichkeit mehr, dass sich die Schalen abnutzen und versagen können. Der Flansch bietet einen 360-Grad-Kontakt, wodurch das Innenlagergehäuse zusätzlich gegen Schmutz, Feuchtigkeit und andere Kontaminierungen geschützt wird und im Gegensatz zu herkömmlichen Designs kein Knarzen oder Korrosion entstehen kann. Die gesamte Entwicklungsphase dauerte eineinhalb Jahre und basierte auf anspruchsvollen Testverfahren nach dem CEN-Standard mit Kettenspannungssimulationen und Zerstörungstest, bevor wir den Designprozess erfolgreich abschließen konnten.

• The Niner EBB is designed for use with external bearing cranksets only

The Bio-Centric EBB is only designed to fit in Niner frames. It can sometimes be made to fit into other manufacturer’s frames but it will not work properly. The Bio-Centric clamps to the outside face of the EBB shell and because of that it requires that the EBB shell be precisely faced. This facing is something that can only be done at a machine shop, or in the case of Niner frames, at the time of manufacture.
